One Kind Act are proud to announce the Windsor Cricket Day for Mama&Me:
Every summer, we gather 11 well-meaning amateurs to don their whites and take part in an annual cricket match in Windsor under the banner of the Daari Barbarians Cricket Club (DBCC)- to play against Windsor CC.
Seven years on from what initially started as one off, has now become the joke that has gone too far. Now that modest crowds are gathering to support these have-a-go heroes as they are hosted by Windsor Cricket Club, it is a great opportunity to harness this community for the greater good!
And so, this year we were keen to raise money for One Kind Act, a charity close to our heart. Specifically, we will be raising funds for Mama&Me, a cause aimed at empowering mothers of impoverished communities in India and caring for them and their babies/young children through sustainable and impactful interventions at Anganwadi Centres. This is an incredibly important cause, and one where donations go a long way to changing the lives of expectant mothers.
To help raise funds, the cricket match will be played adjacent to various fundraising events including; raffles, sweepstakes, auctions, cricket related activities and of course food and beverage. This is truly an event for everyone, with great food, a stocked bar, sunshine and views of (sort of!) great cricketers playing underneath the backdrop of Windsor Castle.
